Intercoastal is a track about forgiving yourself for leaving a situation you can no longer be in. Whether it's quitting a job, breaking up with a significant other, cutting a toxic friend out of your life, giving up drinking, whatever it may be.. this is about letting go and before you can move on, you have to let yourself be ok with your past mistakes. Everyone has faults and everyone messes up. Everyone is blind to the bad in their lives until it becomes abundantly clear that something has to give. Everyone should be able to live their lives without guilt and without shame for moving on with their lives.
lyrics
I don’t know how to be here
I don’t know how to leave here anymore than you
Speak a little clearer
What direction to move
Tell me what to do
Holy water, wash it away
It’s okay to let it go, I feel it
Growing smaller, no time to delay
I know I’m not alone anymore
I’m on my way, say all left to say
Promise that it’s okay, it’s okay
It’s okay, it’s never easy but it’s
All that I can give, we should get to live
Promise that it’s okay, it’s okay
It’s okay, it’s never easy
But the holy water, washes away
It’s okay to let it go, I feel it
Growing smaller, no time to delay
I know I’m not alone anymore
I’m on my way, say all left to say
Promise that it’s okay, it’s okay
It’s okay, it wasn’t easy but it’s
All that I could give, we should get to live
Promise that it’s okay
It’s okay, it’s okay
I don’t know how to be here
I don’t know how to leave here anymore than you
Speak a little clearer; no time to delay
I know I’m not alone anymore
